"Intro Sandplay for Adults Workshop"
Experiential and fun workshop for you to create sandworlds in a tray of sand from a rich extensive collection of miniature objects, figures and symbols. Begin wherever you are in your life's journey. You will be guided and discover how to travel through your world to find personal meaning, growth, awareness and renewed vitality. Enjoy sharing in a safe and nurturing setting. No experience needed.
What is Sandplay?Sandplay is hands on psychological work. It is a powerful therapeutic technique that facilitates the psyche’s natural capacity for healing.
(Dora Kalff, Jungian therapist, developed sandplay therapy in Switzerland in the 1950s and '60s based on her studies at the C.G. Jung Institute, Zurich, in Tibetan Buddhism, and with Margaret Lowenfeld, in England).
In a “free and protected” space provided by the facilitator, you create a concrete manifestation of your imaginal world using sand, water, and miniature objects. In this way Sandplay helps honor and illuminates the internal symbolic world and provides a place for its expression within a safe container of colored sand.
